Update!

B getting ready to ride. This is an older photo, but still makes me smile. On the trip to Nebraska at the only bar in town.

Here is a side view of the house. We are ready for brick and the electrician, but I didn't have an updated shot.
A trip to Lagoon, B and her friend Andy loved the Lady Bug Bop.
B at the Dino park in Ogden.
B on the bike - talk about nervous times for Moms.
A great B-day party and Imani & Nia's house. It was a blast.
The local carnival

It's been a busy, busy time for us and blogging has just been off my "to do list" for quite some time. We sold the Condo in the "hood" and moved to an apartment in Clinton as the new house is not complete yet. We have our belongings everywhere, which makes me fill so un-organized and out of sync. The dog's at grandpas, half the stuff is in storage because it wouldn't fit in the apartment and the other half is crammed into a two bedroom place....so we are a little disjointed at this point to say the least. B is in her third pre-school and it's been a really tough adjustment this time. New apartment, new area, new people, new kids, new schedule, etc. We have had a hard time adjusting this time around.

In addition to the regular holidays we've had a few events over the past 8 months that have also kept us busy. A college graduate (Congrats to M on getting her masters degree), too many birthdays to count, two family weddings, a divorce (not M & I), a promotion to "chief instructor" for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (which really means a lot more time on the range working), the death of two close friends, the selling of the condo, the move, building the house (this is the last one, promise), a couple short vacations, and really a great summer watching B grow up. She's tying her own shoes, loves to sing and dance, and is as independent as ever. She is definitely the light of our lives and we wouldn't trade her for the world. I'll try and be better about updates and keeping the photo's current.

No Training Wheels!

Once she got the hang of it, B couldn't stop giggling while she rode down the street! Tons of fun and sheer excitement for B. These are truly fun times and we just can't wait for good warm summer days.

Birthday Fun!

B turned 4 this past weekend and we had a great time celebrating! As you can see she got a motorcycle! It's a 50cc and she loves it! I have been riding on the back with her so far and she's learning quickly, so far we have only been in one snow bank!

We had the party at Cabela's and it turned out great! The kids got to shoot at the shooting gallery, feed the fish, check out the large fish tanks and get to see the trout being fed. The kids seemed to really think that was cool...until they started feeding with the goldfish! I think that the kids were a little taken back by that, and it didn't help that one of the mom's (to remain anomoyus) said "hey, there's nemo!!! All in good fun, right! The pinata was fun, even though when Imani had the secret string it didn't break open, so of course with a little help we got the candy and prizes to drop. Thanks to everyone for coming, we had a great time.

Catching Up

Winter time fun on the golf course!
B headed out to serve dinner at the "senior Christmas party" for all the senior citizens in west valley(hosted by WV PD). M & B had a great time, B was a hit with the residents and it was also a great service project.
a big bump on the head after a fall at the restaurant. I was quite traumatic and later turned to black eyes! After the initial shock and pain, B thought it was kinda cool...
Chilly but fun!

At home in the yard making snowmen! B's idea was to make three, one for each of us...
Santa & Ms. Claus on the Polar Express! B loved it. I think we watched the movie a dozen times!
As the holiday's rushed by we raced around trying to capture as much as we could. We had a wonderful holiday season. From making snowmen, to sledding, to the Polar Express, Zoo lights, serving senior dinner for west valley city, to movies, to family parties and new years eve with some great friends. We hope your family survived the holiday's and are off to a great start in 2008.

B's Bad Rash

On Saturday morning B and I were cooking breakfast together and as we were washing our hands M and I noticed that B's were really red and looked like they had a rash on them. Literally, within seconds her whole body was covered with "red spots". M and I first thought it may be chicken pox's! With in an hour B looked horrible. She was puffy and swollen and began itching. Too be safe, and to make sure that grandma's over the phone diagnosis were correct we decided to take B to the doctor. B had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic "sulfa" which we had just finished that morning.....Although B looked bad and was feeling down and out we were glad it was nothing worse!
